Party with the Dealertainers

The Imperial Palace features at least two unique items that seem to go over well with the roller girls. The Dealertainers, and the fish bowls of booze.

The dealertainers are people that look a lot like, resemble, or maybe just remind you a little bit of some music performer. At one point they deal cards to you (the dealer), at another point they relocate onto a mini stage and perform some hit song (the entertainer). Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Elvis Presley, Billy Idol, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, I think I even saw Alice Cooper. Freddie Mercury was there last year but seemed to be absent this year.

This is my second year attending RollerCon and I've noticed that Billy Idol and Michael Jackson seem to be the crowd favorites. Tommy Toxic (from Montreal) and I felt that RollerCon just wouldn't be the same without the roller girls chanting "Billy, Billy, Billy!!" or "Michael, Michael, Michael!!!" with their fists pumping in the air. Up until tonight it never happened. Rollercon just didn’t seem the same for some reason.

Then it happened, Michael Jackson took the stage and everything just fell into place. The derby folk swarmed the dealertainer area and chanted in a unified voice, "Michael, Michael, Michael!!". At this point Tommy said "I've come home". Rollercon had become the Rollercon we remembered from the previous year.

My first alcoholic drink this week.

The temptation of acquiring an alcoholic beverage plagued me all week. I wanted to drink something but I don't drink beer and I get drunk pretty easily. Photos or drunkenness? Last year's vodka/lemonade slushie guitar was too much. I only drank half of it and woke up the next morning with the room spinning. And so, being near the end of the week, a fish bowl was in order.

Tush seems perplexed

Where'd that dog come from?
